Background on the company:
• Kgbdeals is an online collective buying service that empowers its
members to get the best deals in and around major US and European
cities (see online FAQs at http://kgbdeals.com/base/faq?l=US).
• Sales Specialists contact merchants in the cities in which they live to
close deals and invite merchants to offer customers a significant
discount, typically a 50% value (e.g., $50 worth of goods/services for
$25). In return, kgb delivers a volume of customers to the merchant.
• After the merchant contract is signed, the deal is advertised on
www.kgbdeals.com, and an interested customer visits the site to
click ’BUY’ before the offer ends at midnight. If the deal reaches
Activation Point – that is, enough people sign up – then all customers
who clicked ’BUY’ can pay and get their deal immediately. If not
enough people buy the deal, no one gets it (and no one is charged), so
customers are incented to invite their friends to make sure everyone
gets the deal!
